WARDOGS on Xbox
Xbox and PlayStation were answered in the same breath, so the status is identical: intended, undated. What is worth separating out is Game Pass, because that question has a different answer — none at all.
Two questions that keep getting merged
| Question | Where it stands |
|---|---|
| Will there be an Xbox version? | Stated as planned. Said in Steam announcement — Answering Your Questions, 3 March 2026 |
| Will it be on Game Pass? | Nobody at the studio or publisher has raised it in either direction. |
| Xbox Series S specifically? | Not separated from “Xbox” in anything published. |
| Xbox One? | Not mentioned. The PC floor is a GTX 1660-class card. |
Why the Series S question is not pedantic
The mode is one hundred players inside a randomised two-by-two kilometre zone carved out of a 256 square kilometre map, with destruction and buildable structures on top. Memory budget is the thing that decides whether a shooter like this ships on the smaller console, and it is usually the reason a “planned” console version stays planned for a long time. Nothing published addresses it, so this page does not pretend to know — but it is the specific thing to listen for whenever the console announcement does arrive.
Publisher, not developer
The sentence about consoles came from the development studio. Console releases are the publisher’s side of the arrangement, and Team17 has said nothing about them independently. That gap is normal at this stage, and it is also why a developer’s spoken intention should not be read as a scheduled release.
The PlayStation page covers the same quote from the other angle, the console overview collects both, and the platform board shows every row at once.
