WARDOGS price and editions
Two editions, one difference, and a commitment about everything that comes after the purchase that is worth more scrutiny than the price itself.
| Edition | USD | What is different |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 39.99 | The game. |
| Supporter Edition | +10.00 | Cosmetic content only, framed by the studio as a way to fund development rather than as a content pack. |

A correction worth making
There are three app records associated with this game, and the third one gets miscounted as a paid edition across several fan pages. Appid 4809960 is the Supporter Pack. Appid 4809930is the playtest — a free distribution channel used during the closed test period, not something anyone buys. If you have seen a “third edition” listed somewhere, that is what it was.
The monetisation commitment
The studio stated its position on this in plain terms before launch: no battle pass, no pay-to-win, cosmetics earned by playing written in Steam announcement — TOP QUESTIONS, 18 February 2026. It went further in the pre-order announcement and said there would be no monetisation at all during Early Access with the single exception of the optional Supporter Edition stated in Steam announcement — Pre-Order Now, 11 August 2026.
That is a specific, checkable promise rather than a vague one, which makes it the most useful thing on this page. The in-game economy has its own currencies — a cash balance and gold bars spent in a cosmetics market — and both are earned by playing. How that works is on the cash page.
Refunds
The studio has encouraged refunds more actively than most: it told players to refund if the beta did not meet expectations, and told Linux buyers to refund outright. Whatever else that signals, it means the normal Steam refund window is not something you have to argue for here. The Linux page has that second case.
