WARDOGS and Game Pass
No, on either side of the subscription. WARDOGS is in neither the PC nor the console Game Pass catalogue. There is an Xbox store page for the console version, but it has no date and nothing to buy, and the PC build is sold on Steam.

The Game Pass line on the Xbox store page
The Xbox store page carries a notice that online multiplayer on console requires Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate. That is Microsoft’s standard requirement for most online play on an Xbox, not a sign that WARDOGS is included in the subscription. Being in Game Pass would put the game in the catalogues above, and it is not there.
Why the question keeps coming up
Because Xbox comes up in the same breath. The studio has said by name that it wants to bring the game to Xbox, and that is a statement about a console version, not about a subscription. The launch trailer then put consoles in general in 2028 without naming a console or a day. Posted in Steam announcement — WARDOGS Launch Trailer
Game Pass does not appear in any of the studio’s announcements on its Steam page, from the reveal through the patches after launch. Microsoft announces Game Pass additions in waves, so if the game joins, there will be a post to point to.
A console version and Game Pass are separate decisions
- Xbox version: stated as planned, by name, in the studio’s Q&A video. Said in Steam announcement — Answering Your Questions
- When: 2028 for consoles, with no day, and no date on the store page. The Xbox page keeps the statements side by side.
- Game Pass when the console version launches: not mentioned anywhere the studio posts. A console launch can happen with or without a subscription deal, so a future Xbox date would not answer this on its own.
- PC Game Pass now: the Xbox store product covers consoles only, and there is no Microsoft Store listing for the Windows build.
How to check it yourself
- Search the Game Pass section of the Xbox app on PC, or the Game Pass page on xbox.com.
- Open the Xbox store page. Games in Game Pass carry a Game Pass badge on their store page.
- Watch Xbox Wire, where Microsoft posts each wave of Game Pass additions, and the patch timeline here for the studio’s own posts.
What it costs instead
The standard edition is $39.99 on Steam and the Supporter Edition costs $10 more; the price page breaks down what the extra buys. If you buy and it is not for you, Steam’s refund rules apply, and the studio has told players to use them.
